My name is Carlo and this blog is about random…things—from the everyday happenings of my life, to the three things I’m most passionate about: food, pop culture and trying to get my start in a journalism career.
I’m a journalism graduate from Lewis University where I worked at their newspaper, The Flyer, for four years.
Being in this career path, I’ve always been told that there’s very little money left in journalism. And yes, it is a constantly-changing career that’s always growing with no guarantee as to what it could become the next year. But as long as there are readers, there will be a need for writers, and that’s where we come in— whether readers prefer it in your traditional newspaper, magazine or online on a blog.
Granted, this blog is just one amongst a sea of many blogs. And although it may not offer up-to-the-minute breaking news, what it can offer is this gay twenty-something’s self-righteous opinion attempt at trying to make sense of all things considered.
Oh, and I also like long walks on the beach, too.
